Great article! What about B2B start ups? For example, my start up business model is to get high profitable long term supply contracts with other companies. do you think it can be extrapolated?
'profitable long term supply contracts with other companies' - not sure if I understand your business model right from the get go. But this model has worked with B2B companies I've mentored. You still need to get happy customers. In the book 'The Startup Way' by Eric Ries, there's a great story how he helped GE save millions by building a sales deck instead of technology to derisk an idea.
Thanks for your response! I’m excited to read the book.
My startup is a biotech company that produces treatments and vaccines using insects as biofactories instead of traditional bioreactors. Our business model focuses on supplying Active Biological Ingredients to established industry players.
Do you think having a strong social media presence is important for us? We’ve been prioritizing getting our products tested by major companies and securing our first supply and co-development agreements rather than investing heavily in social media visibility.
Would you rather have 50k consumers like what you do on instagram, or have three key decision makers at big pharma that are considering to do trials with you?

Ok then, I think we are on a good path.
Love this!
Thanks!
Good insight, thanks 👍. Can I translate part of this article into Spanish with links to you and a descripción of your newsletter?
Yes please! Share where useful. I would like a mention to the blog, if you want I can create a Spanish version of the image if you offer translations!
Do you have the text of the image in plain html or word?
If not, we can start as is, and see if it has a lot of engagement. If it does, then we translate the image as well.
Sorry for the late response, I've got a Miro I can edit.
This is a really smart illustration of the journey we've been on building Truffle.
